The origin:
Fossil records show, that date palms have existed for at least 50 million years ago. Dates have been a primary food for the Middle East for thousands of years. Dates was found in the eastern Arabian Peninsula between 5530-5320 BC


Ancient Egyptians used date fruits to make date’s wine. In later times, traders spread dates to Southwest Asia, North Africa and Spain. Then in 1765 the Spanish introduced dates to Mexico and America (California).
